Despite our difficulties I have the highest regard for Pope John Paul II. He did nore than any other in trying to bring our Churches back together. Reestablishment of communion is probably not possible, but he did not dismiss us as so many others have.

He lead with a firm hand, holding off liberal efforts to destroy the Church as has been done in the Episcopal Church in the US (ironically, the Church with whom we were most likely to establish communion) and other Anglican Churches.

Oh, and he was one of the Three who brought down Communism in the West.
