First Sunday of Lent: The Sunday of Orthodoxy
We believe that in becoming incarnate and allowing us to see and hear and touch Him, God allows us to remember Him with an image, and use that image to aid in the proper worship of Himself. We do not worship the image, it is merely paint and wood, we venerate the Saint that is depicted and worship God in His three persons, the Holy Trinity.
